‘Zomerschool Vlaanderen’ is a digital summer school initiative designed for pupils in Flemish primary education. It offers short, engaging lessons in subjects like languages, mathematics, and science, tailored to each grade. These lessons are broadcast via TV on Eén and made available online through Ketnet, as well as on the ‘Zomerschool Vlaanderen” website, YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.

The project is spearheaded by the creators behind Universiteit van Vlaanderen. It does not aim to fully replace missed lessons caused by the COVID‑19 disruption. Instead, it provides a supportive and accessible educational boost to better prepare pupils for the coming school year. The approach blends curriculum-relevant content with playful, media-friendly presentation. By using a variety of platforms, linear television and social media, the initiative ensures broad reach and engagement, enabling children to learn in familiar online environments.
